This study explores students' uses of wireless handheld devices such as handheld PCs, PDAs and smart phones by investigating the relationship between their performance and specific variables. A survey approach was adopted to record the views of selected Iranian university students. A total of 300 survey questionnaires was distributed and 150 usable responses were analysed through a regression analysis to explore the relationship between the dependent and independent variables. The objective of the study is to understand the phenomenon of using wireless handheld devices in higher education.
