System development in the new millennium: an Australian perspective on OO adoption

[Abstract]: In an increasingly turbulent business environment, organisations increasingly rely on properly understood and effectively managed systems development methodologies (SDM) as the key to responding quickly to software needs and establishing for itself a strategic advantage. In recent years there has been increased interest in object-oriented (OO) methods as a quicker, more comprehensive and viable alternative to traditional (data and process) methods.
