Primary Mycotic Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Due to Candida—A Case Report

A sixty-eight-year-old man with a huge abdominal aortic aneurysm devel-oped disseminated candidiasis immediately after surgery. Candida organisms were present in the aneurysm content in the blood and, later, in the brush speci-mens of the lungs. The authors believe that this is the first reported abdominal mycotic aneurysm due to Candida.
