The cell population analysis of liver biopsies from the patients with both chronic hepatitis, chronic viral hepatitis C (HCV) and chronic viral hepatitis B (HBV) included the comparative evaluation of the specific part of non-parenchymal elements, analysis of the liver plates and sinusoids areas, the cell population of liver plates and sinusoids, the caryometric description of different types of cells. The essential difference of similar quantitative indexes in the biopsy specimens of patients with HCV and НВV was revealed and discussed.
