Fi-nally, the results of Van Hoof et al. and of Walhinder et al. (2) also leave intact the other main messages of our recent study (1): (a) For four currently assayed serum enzymes, Ektachem slides yield results that correlate closely with those with liquid reagents for patients with various amounts of common isoenzymes; (b) Ektachem slides do not exclude macromolecular enzyme forms and are, in general, not affected differently by the presence of uncommon isoenzymes, when com-pared with liquid reagents with simi-lar formulations
