In this study, 3 institutes (summer 1970) for training teachers of migrant children were evaluated. Whether the 3 institutes brought about positivy attitude change in the participants was selected as the basis of the evaluation, which used a non-equivalent control group design. There were 3 measures of teacher attitude: an adaptation of a semantic differential, a 50-item Likert-type scale, and a test devised for this study consisting of a series of paragraphs on a given topic representing a continuum of viewpoints.
