Semiconductor nanowires (NWs) are nowadays intensively studied due to their great potential for electronic and photonic devices [1]. Single NW resonant tunneling diodes [2], light emitting diodes [3], PH-detectors [4] and Humidity-detectors [5] have recently been demonstrated.
