The purpose of this study was to describe the environment at Arkansas State University as perceived by the students in the fall of 1972 and to ascertain whether these students agreed or disagreed with the environmental perception of a similar sample of students in the fall of 1969. The obvious objective of this analysis was to determine trend information on the university's environment as perceived by students. The instrument used to measure the perceived environment was the College and University Environment Scales, Second Edition. An analysis of the data produced the following conclusions: (1) Percentile equivalent scores on the 1972 study deviated from scale to scale less than in the 1969 study.
