A study examined the, patterns of differential status and reward existing among high school students to determine whether the sex-related patterns of salary and employment status discrimination that exist in society as a whole are mirrored in the occupational experiences of in-school adolescent workers. To gather data for the study, the researcher administered questionnaires to 2,787 students from 19 public and private schools in the state of Washington who had part-time jobs.
