Invasive aspergillosis is a major threat to patients with chronic granulomatous disease (CGD). Fungal patho-genesis is the result of a diminished antifungal capacity and dysregulated inflammation. A deficient NADPH-oxidase complex results in defective phagolysosomal alkalization.
