It is generally accepted that comorbidity, the presence of one or more co-occurring conditions or diseases, increases with age, and is common in patients with a chronic disease such as multiple sclerosis (MS). And, more importantly, that comorbidity can have many effects such as diagnostic delays, selection of treatment and their outcomes, as well as worsening quality of life, to name a few.
