Scientific novelty. The authors suggest considering the problem of state farm workers and their role in establishing the social structure of Ukrainian village in connection with social processes in the village in general and special policy of the Soviet power in particular. Practical importance. The obtained results prove the necessity of establishing the effective state sector in Ukrainian agriculture together with other forms of ownership. They also prove the ne-cessity to develop a goal-seeking program of renovation the Ukrainian village under market condi-tions with the aim of elimination the negative disproportion in its social structure
