This Project focused on a linear programming model used in performance evaluation of 25 property and casualty insurance companies as of the year of 2007. The goal is to determine the efficiency of each company compared to the peer competitors within property and casualty insurance industry. The technique is called data envelopment analysis (DEA). It is an approach based on data for evaluating the performance of a set of peer entities called Decision Making Units (DMUs) which convert multiple inputs into multiple outputs.
