The purpose of this paper is to provide a wide range of examples of writing across the curriculum (WAC) activities in order to encourage teachers to use writing in their classes regularly as a way of stimulating critical thinking in their students and providing variety in their teaching methods. The paper is presented in three sections. The first section presents reasons why WAC is important to all classes, not just English classes. This section is designed to encourage new WAC users by highlighting and explaining the many benefits created by WAC.
