The evidence of numerous studies on women's roles and attitudes suggest that, at least historically, women have attitudinally agreed that women's place is in the home. However, more recent studies suggest a new trend in attitudes. Women have now assumed a pose of wanting to work, while at the same time they tend to cluster in traditionally female occupations and express uncertainty over the compatibility of the dual role.
