The purpose of this paper is to examine the relationship between communication satisfaction of employees with co-workers, supervisors, and upper management, job satisfaction and self-reported absenteeism. It is hypothesized that communication satisfaction has a positive influence on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction and self-reported absenteeism were explored as well as the relationship of job satisfaction playing a mediating role between communication satisfaction and absenteeism. Results were analyzed with correlations, multiple regressions and t-tests.
