Background: Hyperglycemia has been suggested as a significant factor in coronary microangiopathy in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM), but whether it can be reversed through treatment of hyperglycemia is still unknown. Aim: To clarify whether glycemic control can improve coronary microangiopathy in T2DM. Methods: Subjects were 34 T2DM patients who underwent coronary angiography and 17 age-matched controls.
