This is a higher level book that covers an intensely interesting topic: How do we sys-tematically use qualitative data across cases to assess public policies and to strengthen public policy analysis? The monograph is written largely for a specialized audience of researchers studying small numbers of cases. It will also be relevant for the majority of researchers working on mixed methods analysis, because it addresses more fundamental questions, such as how to account for the validity of qualitative data or, even more gener-ally, how to use quantitative tools to analyze qualitative information.
