This paper examines performance issues concerning local public, educational and govern-ment (PEG) access channels. The study is based on a survey of cable subscribers in a major metropolitan market. The findings suggest that community access channels compare favor-ably with many satellite-delivered channels, though viewership is not strongly related to the use of other media.
