When choosing a text for a college-level business communication course, the professor, or committee of professors, must consider a number of factors. Because a great many different areas are encom-passed by the term &dquo;communications,&dquo; it is some-times difficult to decide the proper &dquo;mix&dquo; for a particular college-level course. To make a valid comparison, one must compare current college-level communication texts to discover major topics covered, minor topics covered, emphasis on various topics, and readability levels.
