Entomologists interested in the fauna of Michigan have long felt the need of a list of the dragonflies of the state. The first record of Michigan Odonata was published by Her-mann Hagen in 1875, in his " Synopsis of the Neuroptera of North America, " in which he records 19 species of dragon-flies from Detroit and Lansing. The first local list of this group for Michigan, enumerating 44 species from Corunna, Shia-wassee County, was published ' by D. S. Kellicott, in 1894. Since that time seven regional lists have appeared, and a few general worlrs giving "Michigan " under habitat data (see bibliography). The present list contains 42 genera and 130 species. Of these, 120 species are recorded from my examination of 4,300 specimens, of which 2,360 were males, 1,260 females, and 680 naiads. The records include 51 of the 83 counties, rathe
