The work carried out that is described on this report focuses on some experi-mental studies involving IR thermography techniques. The first part of the study has been centered in the investigation of IR transparent materials to be imple-mented as a window for the Linear Cascade facility that Chalmers has in the Applied Dynamics department. The results obtained for the material chosen are compared with the optical properties that the supplier provides. The main ap-plication of these results is intended to be used in the fluid dynamics laboratory, but it can be of application in many fields as for example combustion chamber measurements.
