A complete mathematical model of an electromagnetic friction clutch is presented, whose numerical solution provides its basic operation characteristics. The clutch represents a part of various devices working with the movable plunger and its purpose is to fix it in a prescribed accurate position. Its application is illustrated by a typical example. 1
