Abstract: Providing adequate food supply to meet the demands of a growing population is a challenge for this century. The food producing animals bred in optimized conditions supply a large amount of food derivatives. At the same time, society has become progressively more concerned about animal suffering and aware of the need of pain prevention and treatments. One of the measures aimed at improving animals welfare is pain management a rational and controlled use of the anti-inflammatory drugs such as Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs).
