Purpose: This study was performed to evaluate the potential of specific mRNA markers to detect microme-tastases by reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain re-action (RT-PCR) and Southern blot analysis of sentinel lymph nodes (SNs) and blood from patients with breast cancer.
