The treatment of primary cultured human hepatocytes with a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)-activating concentration of cip-rofibrate (104 M) increased (HUMAN)SULT2A1 mRNA, immu-noreactive protein, and enzymatic activity levels by 2-fold.
