This e-course is a support for the course P2NC.00.137 “History of American Literature ” (3 ECT). The e-course introduces the main periods and the key writers of American literature as well as provides an overview of the social processes and historic events that influenced the development of American literature. On completion of the course a student: 1. is aware of the history of American literature, the most important directions, authors and their works; 2. is able to distinguish and analyse processes in the history of American literature; 3. can distinguish main directions in American literature.
