In this prospective cohort study, the presence of parasite-specific immunoglobulin A in breast milk was associated with protection of Bangladeshi infants from cryptosporidi-osis and amebiasis. Our findings suggest that passive immu-nity could be harnessed for the prevention of Entamoeba histolytica and Cryptosporidium species infection in chil-dren living in endemic regions
