The single-breath diffusing capacity of the lungs for carbon monoxide test (DLCO-SB test}, also known as the transfer test, is a pulmonary function test which is in common use in the respiratory laboratories of hospitals and medical practices. It gives a measurement of the efficiency of the transfer of gases between the pulmonary capillary blood and the alveolar lung spaces.
