The search for spintronic materials that combine both semiconducting and ferromagnetic (FM) properties is cur-rently one of the most hot research areas in magnetism [1−3]. Compared to its low-TC III–V and II–VI semicon-ducting counterparts, hematite is more ideal not only be-cause of its cost-effectiveness and eco-friendliness, but also because of its high-TN characteristic (ca. 950 K). Un-fortunately, its inherent ferromagnetism, due to the Dzya-loshinsky–Moriya interaction [4], is too weak to be actu-ally applied in spintronics.
