Purpose. Family dietary and nutritional behaviors predispose children to obesity. The purpose of this study was to examine the childhood obesity risk among overweight women and to assess feasibility of using a screening tool in a busy clinic setting. Design. A cross-sectional study using the Family Nutrition Physical Activity (FNPA) tool was self-administered by 98 overweight mothers identifying risk factors for childhood obesity. Measures.
