AN ISOLATED COMPLEX DORSAL DISLOCATION OF THE MP JOINT OF THE RING FINGER

A rave case of isolated complex dorsal dislocation of the MP joint of the ring finger is described. Differences in the pathological findings between dislocations of the ring finger and other digits are discussed. Dislocation in the central digits is almost always associated with border digit dislocation (Hunt et al, 1967; McCarthLy, 1980; Adler and Light, 1981; Hall et al, 1985). Three cases of isolated complex dorsal dislocation of the MP joint of the middle finger have been reported (McLaughlin, 1965; Imbriglia and Sciulli, 1979; Nussbaum and Sadler, 1986). To our knowledge, no similar isolated ring finger injury has been reported
