writing in the Teaching-Learning Column over the past sev-eral years and now look forward to new explorations of ideas for the development of theory in nursing. This particular vol-ume of Nursing Science Quarterly is dedicated to showcas-ing and appreciating the work of nurse theorist, Rosemarie Rizzo Parse. Her involvement with theory development in nursing, particularly her contribution of the humanbecom-ing school of thought, is a significant gift to nursing science.
