In other words, the passivation at the interface be-tween grid and active material takes place and, as a result, the charge characteristics of a lead-acid battery become worse. In order to avoid the formation of lead sulfate at the interface between a grid and an active material, some sta-ble layer must be formed at the interface region between the grid and the active material. In this study, only the effect of lead sulfate was dis-cussed. However, lead monoxide is formed in the practical battery, in which the Pb-Sb alloy is used as a grid material.
