99mTc-isonitriles have been shown to be a very promising substitute for Thallium-201 (201TI) for myocardial perfusion imaging. In this study, the lyophillized kit of Methoxyisobutylisonitrile (MIBI) was prepared and labeled with 99mTc. Several factors affecting the labeling yield such as the kit's stannous content, boiling time during labeling, and the volume of 99mTc used during reconstitution were also investigated. The radiochemical purity (RCP) determination of the labeled product was analyzed by HPLC, solvent-extraction, TLC, and ITLC-SG chromatographic methods in various systems.
