A patient showed a typical glaucomatous visual field defect after field examination with the band of an occluder in such a position that it apparently increased the pressure in the tested eye. The possibility that this patient has glaucoma is discussed in the light of her optic nerve head appearance, intraocular pressure history and visual field measurements
