The QUT Innovation Train takes its message of innovation and technology to Queensland when it sets off from Brisbane on 4 August 2002. Fourth Year surveying students recently undertook measurement comparisons at the Coombabah sewerage treatment plant (Gold Coast) EDM calibration range as part of their practical requirements for the unit Advanced Geodesy. The fundamental purpose of the GPS campaign was to ensure that the GPS measurement system was operating within the manufacturers measurement specifications. A detailed analysis of results clearly showed that this was achieved within recommended operating conditions
