This series of meetings is organized in cooperation with the International Centre for Heat and Mass Transfer in recognition to a growing need to gather specialists from academia and industries engaged in research of heat and mass transfer in fluids, related specifically to turbulence. It follows the pattern set by the Joint ICHMT/lUTAM Symposium on Structure of Turbulence, Heat and Mass Transfer, held in Dubrovnik fifteen years ago, in 1982. The monograph covers different facets of the broad field, with focus on new developments and advances related to describing the structure of mechanical and thermal turbulence and associated momentum, heat and mass transfer in various types of flows, including reacting, combusting and multiphase systems....
