The polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB’s) are recognized to be among the most ubiquitous and persistent environmental contaminants (1). Hu-man toxicity attributed to accidental ingestion of PCB’s has been reported (2). Additionally, con-centrations of PCB’s have been determined in adipose tissue from animals and humans in the absence of discernible industrial or occupational exposure (3).
