Two toxicological analyses in lethal endosulfan--a phyto-pharmaceutical compound--poisoning cases are described. The same extraction method is used for both, but two differ-ent detection techniques are applied: gas chromatography combined with electron capture detection, and reversed-phase liquid chromatography with U.V. detection at 225 rim. Using the liquid chromatographic method, endosulfan sul-phate was detected as a metabolite in liver, brain, and kidney of the victim
