This paper deals with the parametric study of a twin-pipe graduated release railway air brake system.?'he air brake model is based on the analysis of a pneumatic train circuit and a vehicle pneumatic circuit. The parametric study includes the e#ect of variation of the pneumatic train circuit and vehicle pneumatic circuit parameters. This shows that the computer simulation can be used to predict the performance while varying the design parameters during a brake application. The information is of vital importance for train operation andjor laying maintenance and manufacturing tolerances of air brake system design parameters
