The aim of this study was to determine the respective contribution of abdominal visceral adipose tissue (AT) accumulation and insulin resistance (IR) to the deter-mination of a comprehensive cardiovascular metabolic risk profile in 108 postmenopausal women not receiving hormone therapy.
