THIS paper identifies some of the key issues in the development and evaluation of an alcohol education programme. The major problems inherent in this kind of research are discussed, and some consider-ation is given as to how these might be resolved. There follows a detailed description of a continuing study, designed to put some of these ideas into prac-tice.
