Supplemental material: 2 tables 30 2 Abstract 31 32 Arabinogalactan proteins (AGPs) are heavily glycosylated proteins existing in all plant 33 kingdom and differentially distributed through distinctive developmental stages. Here 34 we show the individual distribution of specific Arabidopsis AGPs: AGP1, AGP9, 35 AGP12, AGP15 and AGP23, throughout reproductive tissues and point out their 36 possible roles in several reproductive processes. AGP genes specifically expressed in 37 the female tissues were identified using available microarray data. This selection was 38 confirmed by promoter analysis using multiple GFP fusions to a nuclear localization 39 signal (NLS), GUS fusions, and in situ hybridization as an approach to confirm the 40 AGPs expression patterns.
