Ab!trart:,A pot experiment was conducted to investigate the interaction of Fusarium oxysporum f.sp. ciceri with MftbidoSyne incognita on chickpea cv. Annegiri in two soil types, viz., alfisol and vertiso!. The results indicated th ~ inoculation of fungus either alongwith nematode or seven days before or after the nematode inoculation resulted in,significllO't reducion in fresh and dry weight of shoot and fresh weight of root as well as increase in the wilt incideace compared to plant inoculated with the fungus alone. Nematode multiplication was high in alfisol and that of the fungus in the vertisol resulting in ~ high root-knot in the former and more wilt incidence in the latter
