Abstract: Samuel Langhorne Clements popularly known by the pen name, Mark Twain drawn from the Mississippi river is such a versatile and prolific writer that he cannot easily be analysed and judged without having detailed information about his works and life along with those things which give inspiration and make influence in his writings. He is the man, who observes and explores the realities of life minutely and expresses them in his works. So, to know and to digest his work, experiences of his real life must be known very clearly.
