Stress analysis orocedures are presented for fibre-reinforced metallic rocket motor cases using finite-element and photoelastic techniques. " These techniques enable analyses of the initial winding process, inertia I. and pressurisation due to firing to be performed. Certain siuplificationa., and asesuptions are introduced to resolve the complicating effects of the " / fibre overwind and the in-flight loadings.
