The spectrophotometric determination of Cu(II) with α-(2-benzimidazolyl)-α',α''-(N-5-nitro-2-pyridylhydra-zone)-toluene has been investigated. The optimum conditions of pH, stability, concentration of ligand and sur-factant were evaluated. This method is a simple and sensitive method for determination of Cu(II) and offers
