Plant sterols (PSs) lower LDL-cholesterol (LDL-C) concentrations, whereas the n–3 (v-3) fish fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) lower triglyceride (TG) concentrations.
