The objective of this systematic review is to examine the best available qualitative evidence about the influences on, and perceptions toward, coronary artery disease (CAD) prevention strategies in Asian Indians (AI). Additionally this review will help in identifying barriers to preventive measures, such as deeply- held cultural beliefs. The anticipated outcome is an in-depth understanding of Asian Indians ’ perceptions and knowledge of CAD, which can be used to develop more effective, culturally-sensitive health promotion services for AI communities.
